We started off the new year with a family trip to the Green Cay Wetlands Preserve and Nature Center in Boynton Beach. It was a beautiful day, nice and cool, perfect to spend outside.
For Christmas this year Rick had the amazing idea to get ALL the kids video cameras! (You can see the twins, Ava and Sheri holding their's in this photo) His thought was that the kids would all take video or pictures of our outings and then once we got home we could all sit and watch each of their points of view of the day on the TV. I loved the idea! This was our first outing of the year and the girls got some great pictures!
This park was just so beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. This was one of my favorite shots of the day. It doesn't even look like Florida with those trees along the shore...more like fall up north!
We couldn't pass up getting a photo of the girls with this gorgeous back drop. It's almost like we were on vacation and not just a few miles from the house.
The wild life was just every where you looked! All kinds of birds, ducks, and turtles.
We found this guy swimming around when we were almost done with the trail. I think these parks we visit save the best for last!
It was an amazing day...A perfect way to start off the new year!
With a beautiful ending!
