I just love when everything comes together on the weekends...this was one of our best!
Friday night we loaded all the kiddies in the car, we picked up pizza and soda, and headed to the drive in to see the New Pirates movie. One of Rick's co-workers joined us with his family so it was a nice BIG group and we had lots of fun!
Saturday we got up and made strawberry banana pancakes topped with fresh strawberries, bananas, and cool whip! They were so yummy. :) Then we thought we would go to the Grassy Waters Nature Preserve, which was a pretty good drive from the house. Well by the time we got there it was closed, but no sign with hours or anything, which we found really odd! I had been trying to find their website on my phone because we needed the address and what do you think is now posted on their home page...
Gassy Waters Perserve Closing Down -
West Palm Beach, Fl.—The Executive Board of Loxahatchee Preserve Nature Center, Inc., a 501©3 not-for-profit Corporation, doing business as Grassy Waters Preserve Non-profit, has voted to approve the recommendation of the group’s CEO/Executive Director and dissolve the charitable organization which has been assisting the City of West Palm Beach at the Grassy Waters Preserve and water catchment area for nearly 14 years.
Who closes a nature park???
We didn't want to waste the day so we took the girls to the big play ground at John Prince Park by the house and they all seemed happy with that.
Rick had fun playing with the camera, which always works out for me because I end up with some really great photos of our time together to scrapbook! Now if I just had time to scrapbook! :/ lol
Sunday we spent at home relaxing and Rick got some great photos of the girls playing out back in the sprinklers...I'll post more about that tomorrow!
Only 6 more days until the end of the school year! WooHoo! I am so making scrapbook time this summer before I am over run with photos! ;) What are your summer plans?
A weekend from heaven! It's GREAT that Rick gets these photos taken AND that he gets himself in them. Have fun scrapping this summer, Jenn!
My plans for this summer? Just to stay home and enjoy. We have been traveling so much. I'm ready to just sit back and pray for sun. lol
