What a day!
It's not like the hour drive to Weston isn't bad enough but then the doctor is running behind schedule AND decides to but another little boy before poor Toby. So his surgery that was supposed to begin at 11:00am and we had to be there by 9:00am didn't really start until 1:00pm. Can you just imagine how hungry that kid was by then???
All that aside this surgery took place almost a year to the day after his first surgery on the right foot! Today they did his left foot same procedure as before, arch implant and achilles tendon lengthening. But this time they also took a screw out of his right foot as well! Poor kid was really hurting in recovery and getting up...NOT happening! There is NO WAY he'll be using the crutches for a few weeks a least!
I am not sure this double foot surgery was such a good idea...
We did have fun during our extra two hour wait though.
I just couldn't help but tease him about his one sexy leg!
It has been a VERY long day...I am heading to bed now. Thank goodness for weekends!
