SPRING BREAK

This week always goes by too fast! For Spring Break our daughter Jessica (Now 18) made plans to go to St. Petersburg on the west coast of Florida (About 4-5 hours from our house) to see her "FAVORITE" band in concert with her BFF Katie. They planned the route they would drive, where they would stay, the whole thing! School is Out

Summer is finally here! The kids had their last day of school last Thursday...everyone made it to the next grade! :) WooHoo! The rains and mosquitoes have decended upon us and the temps are in the high 90's...Yep, it is summer in south Florida! Jessica left for her annual summer Texas trip already...I miss her like crazy! Up, Up, And Away!

On Mother's Day, Rick and I got up very early...4:30am early and drove out west to the polo fields to see the Balloon Festival. It was an amazing to see all these colorful balloons filling up and taking off as the sun came up. Then it was our turn for a ride! Neither of us had ever been up in a hot air balloon before. We Bought a Car!

There she is... Rick and I took a big step this month and bought a car together...Our first major purchase as a couple! It is exciting to have something new (To us!) and to be back in a BIG SUV. After driving vans and the old Expedition for so long driving a car so low to the ground was really weird and I never really felt safe. Lion Country Safari

Our second day camping we went into the park...we had a great time but boy was it HOT! The zebras were Jessica's favorite. This guy was sleeping just like Jessica's cat Bently! lol Too funny! The rinos were giants and walking right up to the cars...crazy! Then inside the park there was even more to see... I think you can see we had fun and got silly from the heat! Romeo and Juliet

This weekend we lucked out...Rick actually had the weekend off and we were able to get tickets to take every to see the Opera Romeo and Juliet at the Kravis Center. It was a really neat production geared more for families. It was a shorter version and they showed how the scenes were changed instead of closing the curtain. I think it was a really neat experiance for Ava and Sheri to see the performance in French but I am not too sure they paid attention to the English translation overhead...I am pertty sure they just watched! lol They even... Little Pumpkin!

This week we got to go to the Pumpkin Patch with Garrett, Megan, and adorable Fallyn. As with most kids who have more with the box than the actual new shiny toy at Christmas. Fallyn seemed to be more interested in climbing on the pallets then looking at the pumpkins, but then again she is only 1 and half! How cute is that little face...all covered in cookie of course! Best Weekend Ever...

Has turned into a pretty fabulous week! (More on that later) First...our Ocala area camping trip was AWESOME! To describe it in one word, and that is only because no one has come up with a better word then "relaxing". Relaxing is a good word but not that kick in the butt word like AWESOME is...it just says more. Friday night I thought we were NEVER going to leave! :/ It was one mess after another and nothing that could be helped and nothing that was our fault.
